Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited was incorporated in December 2009 with the business objective of providing financial service to micro clients who were excluded from the mainstream financial system. It commenced operations in June 2010 upon obtaining a Unit Microfinance Banking License from the Central Bank of Nigeria. It later obtained a State Microfinance Banking License in 2016.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY



Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited was incorporated in December 2009 with the business objective of providing financial service to micro clients who were excluded from the mainstream financial system. It commenced operations in June 2010 upon obtaining a Unit Microfinance Banking License from the Central Bank of Nigeria. It later obtained a State Microfinance Banking License in 2016.

Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited’s financial inclusion effort focuses on promoting savings culture, access to credit facilities for income-generation purposes and reducing vulnerability to risk through micro insurance.

The Bank’s major strategic focus employs the group lending methodology in its operations with a leaning towards women. It believes in the commitment of women folk to work hard and help their families conquer poverty. As such, more than 95% of the Bank’s lending activities focuses on women. The success of the bank’s group lending activities largely depends on group solidarity and cohesion.

The success recorded by the bank in its lending program has earned it strategic partnership with the Bank of Industry (BOI) and the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) among others.

The combination of cutting-edge technology, a strong and committed Board of Directors and motivated employees has helped the Bank to create a brand widely accepted by its teeming clients in Lagos. It is now expanding its frontiers in a scaling program aimed at delivering improved value to its stakeholders.

He is a Computer Science graduate of the University of Benin. He also holds a Masters degree (MBA) in Management from the same University. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a Certified Microfinance Practitioner by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He has over fifteen years experience in Accountancy, Auditing, Training, Research, Investigations, Business and Management Advisory and Consultancy with good understanding of information system audit processes. He is an Alumnus of the School of Africa Microfinance, Kenya.

He is a Certified Expert in Microfinance by the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.

Olusola holds a Master’s degree from the University of Ibadan and has over 20 years’ experience in the Banking Industry. He worked with Eko International Bank and Skye Bank Plc. as Head, Branch Operations. Olusola also worked for some time as Team Lead, Small Business Group during which he provided financial advisory services to Agricultural based enterprises and start-ups with tremendous success. He is a certified Customer Relationship Management expert who has attended several trainings and workshops on combating Money Laundering, Customer Service/Relationship Management amongst others.

He is a Certified Microfinance Practitioner by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

Olalekan holds a second class degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Ado-Ekiti. He is a Certified Microfinance Practitioner by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

He has over 12 years’ experience in the finance industry with core competence in operational functions, customer service and financial management.

He was a volunteer for the United Nations Millennium Development Goals initiative and also worked in the Automotive and FMCG Industries prior to joining Bosak Microfinance Bank.

He began his banking career with Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited as a Teller in 2012 where he rose through the ranks to become the Head, Operations of the Bank.

He has over 11 years' experience in Microfinance with core competence in Business Development and Outreach as well as Product Management. Olawale is certified by the CIBN as a Microfinance Practitioner and he is an Alumnus of the School of Africa Microfinance, Kenya.

He also attended the Occupational Health, Safety & Environment workshop with Industrial Training Fund (ITF)
He has a rich background in People Management and Credit Risk Management.
He began his banking career with Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited as a Credit Risk Officer in 2014 where he rose through the ranks to become the Ag. Head of Credit Risk Management Unit of the Bank. He is presently pursuing a professional career in Risk Management.
