Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited held its inaugural Group Leaders Congress (GLC) on December 8, 2011. The Group Leaders Congress is a forum comprising of Leaders of all groups that have been availed micro loan facilities by the bank under its Group Lending model.

The aim of the GLC is to provide an avenue for close interaction between the bank and its customers.

This will go a long way in acquainting these Group Leaders on the important role they are to play in maintaining a mutually beneficial relationship between the bank and its customers.

The turn-out of Group Leaders was very impressive as more than 90% of the Groups whose members had benefited from facilities availed by the bank were present.  

The session witnessed the election of the five officials that are to superintend the activities of the Group Leaders Congress for a renewable tenure of one year. In addition, a raffle draw was conducted wherein four leaders whose groups were performing, were rewarded with a scholarship of N50,000.00 for the children of each winner.

The next GLC has been tentatively scheduled for June 2012.
